Tiled Wall

Thursday, February 4, 2010

After last nights post of the artistic halibut tile I thought I'd better take a few steps back and show you the rest of the tiled wall along an alley in downtown Olympia. I tried searching for the origin of this project but had no luck. My wife and I think it may be part of the sister city program between Japan and the United States. I wrote about that in a previous post here.

Awesome, I was hoping to spy a glimpse of the whole wall.

Too cool! With or without history, this is a great find and a beautiful shot!

So this is the wall of tiles. I like the idea. More creative than spray paint. I wonder why the looneys left it unsprayed so far? Or maybe it is inside.

  4. I love the tiles. Is in an alley where no one can see it. Shouldn't be. Tell us more. MB

    Fun! And very talented kids.
You and Krise probably guessed right. No way to miss those two mountains.

It really is nice! I can't believe it's located in an alley. I like the part showing Mt. Fuji.

  7. No wonder Mount Fujiyama can be a sister to all the mounts in WA! Lovely wall!

  8. Thanks everyone. It really is fun to get out of the car and walk your downtown area. You find these little gems you otherwise might not see.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm going to be very busy, so I might miss a post or two, and unfortunately the chance to visit your blogs. I'll do the best I can though. :-)
