This sunset & Mt Rainier brought to you by the crazy family that raced half way across Thurston County through winding roads to get to " just the right spot". With the fantastic weather we're having right now the sky has really been colorful.
The sky is always nice in your area or seems to be in the photos I have seen. This is a nice photograph. I am not sure I would prefer the power lines but they are everywhere nowadays and so much a part of the landscape that it would be difficult to find a scene without them.
I agree with you and I do the same thing. There are too many trees where I am so when I can tell the sunset is going to be gorgeous I have to race down the hill to a better vantage spot----Oh us crazy western washingtonians. and quit tell people how beautiful it is here----we're getting crowded already. LOL super shot of THE mountain. MB
Gorgeous. Though I do always think that electricity poles sometimes stand in the way.

Isn't it fun to drive around trying to frame a scene just right. It always makes the prize that much more special. Good shot.
