Look.... It's Nessie!

And today I would have been glad to go swimming with her. It was 99 here in Olympia today, and even though I know for a number of you it gets hotter where you live, that's pretty warm for western Washington. I'm not whining mind you. Our summer started off early this year and there's no sign of it letting up, so put on that speedo and dive on in. I'm sure this Harbor Seal is friendly enough.

  1. So that is why they never found Nessie in Scotland. He was in another continent!

  3. Swim with the seals but don't surface with a fish in your mouth. Have your Sushi in a restaurant.

  5. I have gotten close to the manatees that live in some of our rivers and springs but I've never be with a seal. Can you really get close to them?

That's too bad about your hot temps. You should come on down to Florida and our "cooler" weather...only lows 90s.

  6. They say it's going to hit 100 here today. Here we go!
AB: He looks cute, but don't let him fool you. He's a killer! ;-)
Small City: Hang in there. Remember, lots of water.
    B Squared: I don't even like seafood.
Lois: The water DOES look pretty good right now.
Frank: I don't really know what would happen if you dove in there with him. He'd probably just ignore you and swim away. (unless you did have that fish in your mouth)

  8. I've loved the photos in this and your last four posts (even though I don't always comment). And you're right, it's hotter than blazes. All the shades are down to keep the house from getting hotter than it has to.

  9. Now that's a fantastic shot. The blue is amazing and that little head is so cute! I just got off the phone with a friend in Walla Walla, she says the heat is horrible there too.
