For those of you who are kind enough to follow along on this blog you may remember this recent post. Yep July 28th, 101 degrees. We had a streak of warm dry days like we seldom see around here. So when I went out tonight after dinner in search of a photo I didn't have to go far. The quality isn't the greatest I fully admit, but I think you get the general idea of what's happening around here tonight.

The Rain Cometh!
For those of you who are kind enough to follow along on this blog you may remember this recent post. Yep July 28th, 101 degrees. We had a streak of warm dry days like we seldom see around here. So when I went out tonight after dinner in search of a photo I didn't have to go far. The quality isn't the greatest I fully admit, but I think you get the general idea of what's happening around here tonight.
Hasn't it just been the craziest weather. The kids and I tried to spot a few shooting stars yesterday and received an eyeful of cloud. I'm not ready for the rain. Boo, hiss!!!

ReplyDeleteOh but we want the rain here. If you are a true blue wet western Washingtonian those webbed feet need some rain. I feel so much better. MB
ReplyDeleteLooks familiar to me! We've been having the same here in the afternoons and evenings. It's making my grass grow like crazy!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things about climate change is that it is bringing goofy weather all over. From what I hear we can expect hotter and colder weather.
ReplyDeleteThis is our hottest summer in Ocala in the five years we've lived here...
But, boy, those afternoon thunderboomers sure help...the rain cools things down quite a bit. Of course, then it gets really humid! Ah...just can't win!
gogouci: I don't know about you but I heard it's supposed to be back up to about 90 here by Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteMB: You know, the rain really was nice. It seems to clean the air and just refresh things.
Lois: I saw the rain and that low rainbow on your post a couple of days ago.
Jacob: We don't get anywhere near as many thunderstorms here as you, but when it finally decides to dump on us watch out.
AB: The red lights were due to the fact the drains couldn't take the rain fast enough. There were some pretty good sized puddles we were driving through.
ReplyDeleteA downpour no less. It is good to get rain for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is Nature's bath. Things get pretty dirty without rain. Fortunately, we have had plenty of rain this season and we feel blessed about it.
ReplyDeleteSome serious rain there. We did see some rain in Tungelsta today. The neighbours came home soaking wet after a taking the dog for a walk. I asked them if it it had rained on them and got a strange smile in return!
