On a recent walk through a local nature trail we spotted Mr. Turtle here lounging on a log, working on his tan. I wonder what he's thinking about the forecast for the next week or so. Rain, followed by rain. I can't say we don't need it though. I'm sure most of you have read the blogs from the Pacific Northwest over the past few months bragging about our glorious summer. Well, it seems Mother Nature has flipped the switch and it's going to get wet. Bring it on!
Cute little feller! I guess it's okay if we have rain for awhile (but I really don't think the wind is necessary!)
ReplyDeleteI could use some sun and a tan! Sorry to hear about the end of your summer though. Cute turtle. You have a good eye — I think I would have missed it!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot ! Beautiful and lovely !! Thanks for sharing,,,
ReplyDeleteHe certainly is enjoying himself! That is a cute shot.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to enjoy the sun on a private log. He's a lucky turtle.
ReplyDeleteMaking the most of a sunny day. It's got a lovely environment here, very well photographed too!
ReplyDeleteI see you're padding your post with lilies! (Lily pads?)
ReplyDeleteOh, and a turtle. Very cute!
I'm sorry. I'll go away now! :-)
Basking is something I would have loved to do today. Instead I finished clearing out the rain gutters.
ReplyDeleteI like turtles. It looks like he has a nice home now, but he's not local. He used to be someone's pet.
ReplyDeleteIf I was Mr Turtle, I would book a plane flight South.
ReplyDeleteI just had to pass this on to you turtle lovers: BBC - Earth News - Turtles prefer the 'city life'.
