A late fall afternoon view of The Olympia Friends Meeting. Today was about the coldest day we've had so far. It got down into the upper 20's last night so we woke up to frost this morning.
That is a superb photo, Don. Hope you got inside before the big chill! Upper 20s - Yikes! We had two nights in a row last winter in the 20s and it wreaked havoc with a lot of our plants. Not often that happens.
I don't think it ever gets that cold here. We're actually right now having what the spanish call St Martin's summer, hot enough to go to the beach and have a swim
Those are beautiful leaves on that tree! We've been suffering through 40 degree nights and 70 degree days here without a cloud in the sky. I'm not sure how much more I can take.
Pretty steeple.
ReplyDeleteI like it when it is frosty in the morning and then the sun is out all day. Feels good. MB

ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo, Don, especially with the lovely russet colors!
ReplyDeleteStay warm. And I hope the sudden frost didn't damage too many plants.
You did a good job of conveying the feeling. Before I read it already I was thinking, "It looks cold."
