It was a cold windy Sunday today, a good day to be indoors. We picked up my Mom and headed for one of our favorite places, the Seymour Conservatory up in Tacoma. They just changed their display to their Christmas theme. Lots and lots of Poinsettia set in amongst the plants that make this wonderful place their home year round. After we were done looking around and taking loads of photos (some of which I'm sure will show up on Krise's blog Floral Friday) we decided to go take a peek inside the gift shop. As I was walking through I noticed these three fat little birds perched on a branch reminding us of the three important "don'ts."
Cute little birds, Don. And I know how you happened to take the picture: a little bird told you!
ReplyDeleteLet's see, that must be a Cardinal on the left, an Oriole in the middle and a Robin on the right? Or, maybe it's the other way around?
I think you're confusing me more than I usually am!
P.S. If you decide to move to Cedar Key and take up clam farming, we'll come visit.
What cute little birdies, kinda like the see no evil etc monkies. Maybe they are all named Dweezle or something. MB
ReplyDeleteJacob: I'll keep you posted. First we have to figure out how to sneak out without the kids knowing. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSmall City Scenes: Excellent come-back MB! Oh, and when I was a kid I had a small set of those monkeys. I kind of wondered about the birds, but what the heck.
Precious little birds--they're a nice substitute for the usual monkeys.
ReplyDeleteAbout my day, I really don't know how I did it all, other than I knew I had to get it all done. Since I posted I've also made up 10 days of Mama's meds--for breakfast, supper and bedtime. By the way, I don't drink coffee. I get my caffeine from cold-brew Lipton tea with Splenda and the occasional Barqs' Root Beer.
No cancer showed up in the other test--hooray, Duncan's doing pretty good, just still sleepy from being knocked out for the teeth cleaning.
What a nice, colorful pic for a windy and very cold day in the PNW. It was clear here, but the above applied for sure. I LOVE the photo you linked to of the Seymour Conservatory. I also love that place, but had forgotten the name. Only been there one time. By the way, I have a new blog: (http://tapirgalsdailyimage.blogspot.com/). Among other things, it will allow for better participation in Floral Friday. I've had some issues with fitting that into my other blogs! I think about you, though!
ReplyDeletemuy bello color enhorabuena, un saludo
ReplyDeleteCute. A reminder to us all what Christmas indulgence can do your figure.
ReplyDeleteHeeheehee! They're so cute! I like them much better than the monkeys.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot !! Loved the vibrant colors !! Great..Unseen Rajasthan
ReplyDeleteI never even saw the birds until I read the word "birds" in your story. Wow. Must be Robins with the red breasts.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Hilda, I like them much better than monkeys. In fact, I probably would have bought them and taken them home. I can't resist birds!
ReplyDeleteBirds and monkey business? How strange.
ReplyDeleteLynette: We're happy to hear the news was good for Duncan. Poor little guy.
ReplyDeletetapirgal: Thanks for the link. I'll be checking it out today for sure. And as far as Floral Friday goes, Krise appreciates it whenever you have something you want to share. Thanks Sheryl!
manuel nieto: Thank you very much!
AB: I know what you mean. I think Thanksgiving did permanent damage to my girlish figure! ;-(
Hilda & Lois: I knew you two would like these.
Unseen Rajasthan: Thank you for stopping by again.
Abraham Lincoln: I think these chubby little guys probably are robins.
Rob and Mandy: That's okay. My wife says I'm a little strange too.
Oh, I just adore these fat little birds!
