Santa's Other Sleigh


Last night Santa and a few of his local helpers, ie the Tumwater Fire Department pulled their classic fire truck out of the garage and headed for the streets. The whole thing was pretty simple. Donate food, get a candy cane. Actually our youngest daughter who's head you see here managed to get her picture taken with Santa on the fire truck. It really is for a good cause, and the community has always responded generously.

    That's a nice program put on by the fire department. And everyone likes fire trucks, especially the kiddos. I'll bet your daughter enjoyed getting her picture taken with Santa!

    What a fun way to give to a good cause! A lot of charities would do well to learn from your fire department, I think.

    Red, red, red! I like it a lot. The colorful packages are fun, and your daughter's head creates a foreground! :)

    The food bank = la banque alimentaire. Only no one does it so well over here. I'm jealous. ;-)

    Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane! Just like I remember it as a small kid - Santa came on the firetruck!
