Last night I told you I took my wife out to dinner for Valentine's Day. Well, here's a so-so shot of the inside. It's a great little place called the Urban Onion. It's located inside the old Hotel Olympia/Olympian Apartment building which I showed you in a previous post here. It's a real cozy, comfortable place to eat. The menu has everything from burgers to pasta to fish. They also have something I haven't tried yet, sweet potato fries. I hear they're good. Maybe next visit I'll give 'em a try as well as getting a better shot of the inside.

I got a little disoriented seeing ceiling fans beside what I thought to be a real building. :D
Go and try the sweet potato fries! They're quite ordinary here now, though like everything else, there are those who like them and those who don't. Sweet potatoes are a complex starch too — more nutritious than ordinary potatoes. Me, I like them dipped in brown sugar first before deep-frying; more like a dessert than a side dish. :)
I have had sweet potato fries and they are delicious! I'm also partial to fried pickles too, but then again I am from the South.
I like the name, Urban Onion, and from you description I think I would enjoy dining here.
If we visit Olympia, you would probably take us there to eat, right?
So why didn't you try the sweet potato fries?
Looks like a spacious place. I too thought we were on the outside at first glance!
I dunno, it looks like a really good shot to me. It looks huge!
Hope you both enjoyed your dinners. Looks like a neat, airy place to eat.
Hilda: I asked the server if he could bring me a couple to try. He said he couldn't. I would have to get a whole order, so I think I will next time.
Lois: I'll bet my pregnant wife would go for a fried pickle right about now. ;-)
Jacob: You're darned right we'd take you there, anytime.
Saretta: It is. I think the ceiling is about twenty feet up.
cieldequimper: Thank you, but I'll back into a corner next time and try to show more of the place.
gogouci: We certainly did. You'll have to come on up and try it one of these days.
