Monochrome Weekly - See No, Hear No, Speak No

Remember back in December when I posted these three little balls of feathers? Several people commented on the fact that they should have been monkeys, not birds. Well, as we were walking through downtown the other evening we spotted these three fellows sitting in a store window. Now, that looks a little more traditional doesn't it?

  2. Yes, I like the birds much better too. And these are amazingly smooth, hairless monkeys! ;)

  3. Thanks a bunch for visiting my My Birds Blog and for the comment. Sometimes I don't know what to post each day but it is usually something that I just took a picture of that caught my eye. This post is like that. I was experimenting with shutter speed and aperature to see if I could stop motion and it seemed to work in this photo you saw. As you can see I was able to focus on the head and stopped that motion well enough so you can see the tiny spider web caught on the beak of the hummingbird. And the wings are still a blur.

I think I am with Hilda on this one. There is something creepy about hairless monkeys. That's like those hairless cats. Talk about giving me the creeps -- they do.

  6. Monkey see and monkey do. Those little balls of feathers were for the birds. This is, my friend, the real thing. So, you can stop monkeying around now! ;-)

Giving chase with golf carts? Really!

  8. I was wondering if most were going to prefer the birds or the monkeys. So far I'd say the fat little birds are winning by a beak!
