Okay, This is art...if you say so.

Now before you say anything, remember I'm trying to give you a little variety of what was on display this past weekend at "Arts Walk" in downtown Olympia. Maybe I should have taken the time to get the names of the artists who's work I am showing you but there was just too much to see and so many people. Many of the shops were so crowded we only viewed that art from outside. When my wife and I walked up to this particular business and took a closer look at these figures we just looked at each other. I could tell she was thinking what I was just about to say. I'll let you guess what that was. More tomorrow.

  1. It wouldn't be art if it wasn't thought provoking, and conjured up an occasional "wtf?".. :) It certainly makes for an interesting photo subject! I like the randomness of the bodies. Ahhh, I miss the art walks in Portland!!!

  3. Wonder if the artist's second installation will be only legs.

  4. If they weren't "open" they'd be okay.

  5. Art, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

  6. I've just gotten back from a retreat and am now catching up.

"Interesting" is the only polite word I can use for this particular display. Making a statement is well and good, but I definitely wouldn't want them in my home.

The human easels are fun, but maybe not for them.

  7. I know what you mean! I work in a building with art students and sometimes I'm just amazed at what passes for art around here.

  8. Thank you everyone.

Yolanda: I agree completely. Like it or not, I do respect others tastes.

Jacob: What a diplomat you are. ;-)

gogouci: I hadn't thought of that.

cieldequimper: I showed you the tame ones.

    Bill: Again, I do agree.

Hilda: Welcome back. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and catch up. I'm with you. It's not my cup of tea, but oh well.

Lois: That's right, you probably get quite a variety there too.
