Well done, Don. Nicely composed and the monochrome is very effective. I suppose "ruin" refers to the fact that those center tracks come of an abrupt end. Maybe "they" will pull them up and make a bike trail out of this old railroad bed?
Jacob: I do like your "Rails to trails" idea. We bicycle a local trail that is part of that program. No, our oldest daughter was sitting on the couch guiding me through the pp on this photo. She came up with the title. (If I didn't use it she was going to hurt me.) :-(
That is a classic, and what a great location to begin the shot! It is perfect in monochrome, and I don't usually feel that way. I'm into color these days, it seems.
Christina Klas: I agree. There really is so much to see here. Thank you for stopping by too. I really need to hop over to your blog and take a look at what you've added recently. I hate to admit it but I've been so busy I'm a bit behind.
Ok, now that's an awesome shot & color - I do love sepia, I just can't achieve the color I want!
ReplyDeleteThat's killer photo!
Great shot. I could look it for hours.
ReplyDeleteWhy "ruin"?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and artistic photo, Don!
