What a wonderful day we had today. My cousin Robert, his wife Karola & their daughter Marion are here visiting from Bavaria. I had never met Robert or his family before today. After going out for a large breakfast we set out to show them around. We took them shopping at several local places where they picked up some souvenirs, then to the Tacoma waterfront. Earlier in the day it was cold and rainy, but by the afternoon it was sunny and beautiful out. We headed downtown to The Glass Museum. They really enjoyed seeing all the colorful glass on display. Tomorrow is their last day here, then they head south through Oregon and into California. Let's hope the weather stays nice for at least one more day.
Hallo! Ich bin eifersüchtig!
ReplyDeleteWhere are Robert's leather shorts and felt hat?
ReplyDeleteThe cone in the background makes for a marvellous photo
How wonderful! By the way I have posted a link on the my blog today to a video featuring Henry the Pole Vaulting Fish that you were commenting about last week. It's pretty funny!
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice background for a photo! Sounds like a fun day!
ReplyDeleteOh how neat you got to have some visit time. How wonderful. MB
ReplyDeleteSuperb!
ReplyDeleteCan you have them bring down some of those blue skies? We're expecting 1" of rain tomorrow through Thursday.
ReplyDeleteWell, our weather sort of cooperated today.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the Glass Museum a great place? Good choice for show and tell!
Bavaria is a very beautiful area, the east is mount Arber, and southern mountain ranges are found Alpi.
ReplyDeleteOne thousand museums in the region is a label of German culture.
I'm sure you were impressed with the glass museum and the town to return to see them and the rest of 999.
That's a great shot you've taken of them. I've been to that glass museum, too! Tacoma is a fun place to walk around. I hope your Bavarian cousins enjoy their visit. Unfortunately northern Cal is getting a bit of rain now.
ReplyDeleteMethinks a trip to Bavaria is in your future - after the baby comes, of course.
ReplyDeleteAnother very nice family portrait.
