UFO Sighting at Grayland
Today we decided to pack up the dogs and head for the ocean, Westport, specifically. The farther west we drove, the worse the weather. By the time we got to the beach it was so windy and cold we only spent a half hour or so there. After that we got back in the truck and decided to head south to Grayland. Every time we're in that area we stop at Bennett's, a restaurant right along the highway where the food is amazing and the service if possible is even better. We highly recommend it. After lunch we were driving along when we spotted this flying saucer sitting outside a curio shop. Too bad the shop was closed. We would have at least checked out the price. Hey, it even comes complete with alien pilot. You can't see it in this shot, but on the other side of the bubble there was a cinder block on the saucer. I assume it was there as sort of an anchor. You can't just have UFO's flying around town now can you? Anyway, we passed on it and headed for home the old fashioned way.
That is cute. An anchored down flying saucer. I am sure it is the most often remembered thing about this shop. Whoever made it did a good job too.
ReplyDeleteoh wow!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I imagined the aliens to be a bit more hi-tech. Did you see any green men in the vicinity?
ReplyDeleteVerrrrrry interesting! Who among us, do you suppose, landed on earth in that thing? And what are they up to?
ReplyDeleteScary thoughts. You probably should go back to the curio shop to investigate further and to keep an eye out for any ET's that might be hanging around.
Maybe a call to the FBI (Funky Bunion Investigations) would be in order!
;-)
I like the idea of it flying over town! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog post! I'm sure the people living around there feel so much more secure knowing this thing is anchored down!
ReplyDeleteAbe: Yep, it looks like they used only the finest materials available.
ReplyDeleteAB: Just the one little green fellow in the bubble. He really didn't look too menacing.
Jacob: FBI, Good one!
Thanks everyone!
Must be the Roswell Express.
ReplyDeleteTwilight. Twilight zone. Weird things are happening your way! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou lucky photo bloggers!
