Well, I thought it was finally time to plop down in front of the computer and take care of today's post before I head back to the kitchen for desert number two. I really have to hand it to my wife and oldest daughter. They slaved in the kitchen most of the morning and ended up delivering a meal fit for a king. My mom and sister joined us which was nice. I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too.

That is so cute! Yes they do have similar talents! I'm worn out from both cooking and eating. I had to stop after one slice of pie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your down home Thanksgiving with us! And thanks for your good wishes for Mama and me. I'll post an update at some point on Friday.
ReplyDeleteVery neat artwork. the turkey looks very happy. I guess he will be around for awhile. MB
ReplyDeleteThe brown guy in the bottom left looks pretty fearsome.
ReplyDeleteThe artwork is great. And your post was a familiar reminder. Patty and all four of our daughters were here and the amount of work Patty and some of them put into a half hour meal was substantial. It goes without saying it took a lot longer to do up the dishes and put everything left over away -- so it is a day that only comes here once a year and the girls are glad it is over for another year.
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a blessed and happy Thanksgiving, Don!
excellent artwork! i have some similar keepsakes from nieces and nephews over the years. somewhere i have a hand-turkey too =) happy thanksgiving to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving! I love your daughter's art work...so very appropros and well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you all!
ReplyDeleteNow it's time to do what all parents do with pictures like this. Tuck it away in the hall of fame where we will someday pull it back out and give it back to them.
This is soooo sweet. Yes, that's what you should do. I have a drawing I made for my grandparents. The Easter bunny (Granddad), the Easter bunny lady (Gran) and the Easter bunny baby (me). They gave it back to me years later and now I cherish it.
