Ruby Tuesday - Red Hot Fountain

Waaaay back in July I showed you this fountain on the Capitol Campus. Well, this past Saturday (Halloween) night my wife and I headed there to take some photos before going out to dinner. Besides hob-nobbing with the Governor and her husband we managed to snap a few shots before our stomachs started growling. The reddish-pink lights they had trained on the fountain could be seen from quite a distance. I thought it would be great for Ruby Tuesday.

  2. Perfect for Ruby Tuesday. Fountains are always so pretty with colored lights on them.

I did do some research on the D40. Very nice camera. I have always had a Canon. Mine is a Canon SX10 and I do like it. It is still under warrenty so it is in the shop now. they said it is a gear malfunction in the lens mechanism. Maybe? I will find out. I will do more research on the Nikon d40. thanks for the advice. 5. Ruby it is. I remember the fountain and I also remember you hobnobbing with the guv and her spouse...

I love the colors of lights in night digital photography.

    But...what exactly is "hobnobbing"? ;-)

  7. Thanks everyone!

Small City Scenes: You are very welcome. I wouldn't try to steer you wrong. There are hundreds of cameras out there to choose from. Find the one that suits you and have a blast.

Jacob: Hobnobbing? How about rubbing elbows? Why do people do that? Of all the body parts, why the elbow?

    cieldequimper: How true. Thank you.

  9. Pretty! It almost looks like a volcanic eruption, thought I don't think they're quite this pink. ;)
