Well, here we are again. The start of another month, and the last month of the year. On the first of each month we try to make our post match the monthly CDP theme. December's theme is "waiting." Now, you might remember
this post some time back. It didn't look like much at the time, just a crane and a few forms in place. Well, things have progressed a little since then. This is what the new Olympia City Hall looks like now. Still not completed, but coming along. It looks like it's going to be pretty good sized too. I can't to see what it looks like when it's done, but for now we're still waiting.
this is a great shot with the light and patterns of the building under construction. great choice as we have not seen many development projects
Super shot. I think you will be waiting for awhile longer.
I like the DNR building. I will have to look it up. MB
Beautiful night shot! It does appear it will be a very impressive building! I look forward to the finished product! I'll just sit here waiting....
A great idea for the "waiting" theme! I love the way you shot this at night. It really shows off the skeleton, lit up from within like that.
very beautiful photo! great shot!
Nice picture. "waiting" theme is a nice idea. I'll be back to see the finished product.
It looks like it's going to be impressive!
I don't know...it's going to be hard to beat the home of The Department of Natural Resources. This looks kinda plain and boxy. Perhaps, though, there will be some neat architectural manifestations when completed. Therefore, in keeping with a time-honored tradition, I shall keep my big mouth shut!
A perfect choice for theme day! The skeleton looks almost beautiful all lit up like this. And you're right, it looks huge!
As usual, thanks everyone.
Also, as I promised, I'll be sure and get another photo of the DNR building. The other side is pretty interesting too. I'll just have to find the best angle to shoot it.
Don't worry, I'll be checking back at the new City Hall now and then to check on the progress.
Jacob: Judging by the rest of the government buildings they've built around here the last few years I'm sure they will spare no expense to make it look good. As far as you keeping your mouth shut, please don't. The rest of us count on your wit and wisdom. (Mostly wit though) ;-}
Take care everybody!
It will be an empressive looking building when it's finished, judging by the size of it.
Great play with lighting - all those metal upright posts and the crane.
Melbourne Daily Photo
Color, composition... Nice shot. Hope it will look as good when finished.
