When Life Hands You Lemons

Squeeze it in their eye and run like heck! No, no, no.......That's not what I meant. I meant to say grab your camera and photograph it. This sourpuss of a fruit hangs in the Seymour Conservatory in Wright Park in Tacoma. A little factoid. This tree is 65 years old. I'd say it's not looking too bad for it's age.

  1. Nice looking lemon. My mother used to pick these off the tree my son had in Florida and she would make lemonade.

  2. What I really like are our key limes...and key lime pie. Well, except for the calories!

Nice shot. Yes, hard to believe a tree like that is 65 years. Wish I looked that good way back when I was only 65! ;-)

    Have a great day!

  3. I've never seen green lemons. I only see yellow ones in our large supermarkets. Now I feel silly for thinking they're yellow from the get-go. :|

  4. That is a nice shot! One of my neighbors has a lemon tree, but I'm fairly positive it is not 65 years old.

  5. Looking good! We used to have a 200 years old orange tree in our patio in south east Turkey. The oranges were sour, inedible, but what a great looking tree it was.
Just posted an orange photo, by the way :)

  6. It looks like a lime; I think you should make margaritas! :) Nice point of view. I can practically taste the citrus!

  7. And a beauty of a photo! One thing I enjoy during winter is fresh citrus fruit.

  8. Yes, I think indoors would be a good place for that tree in our climate! We had limes in our family business and in the yard when I was growing up, and I'm very partial to them - but I remember the trouble my dad went to when the weather got cols, and that was in Southern California.
