Rock Candy?

A beautiful sculpture made even more interesting with the sunlight shining through it. Actually there are two of them and they are call The Crystal Towers. They are the center pieces of The Chihuly Bridge of Glass at The Glass Museum in Tacoma.

Perfect backlighting. I love Chihuly. If I lived in your area, I'd be a regular at that museum.

  2. Great. Wonderful lighting indeed.

I enjoyed seeing the museum and the bridge and bit more of Tacoma two years ago. Your photo of the Chihuly is marvellous.

The bridge of glass is something to see, I'd imagine. It looks so different. I also like this piece of blue rock candy sculpture.

You got a great picture of this!!! Isn't it nice when the sun comes out once in awhile? I love the contrast and the light coming through. This is such a cool piece to look up at from any angle. It is exciting somehow.

The sun was out--thank goodness! What a splendid photo. I imagine the sight of it in person inspired everyone to look up and enjoy all there to behold.
