No, not the 70's band with the horns. This shot was taken at The Bonneville Power Administration in Tumwater at sunset.

I can just see my husband rolling his eyes because I have to say that I can't remember that band. The name, at least. You'll have to sing one of their songs for me first ;D

You make these power structures look almost like a piece of artwork with your beautiful photo!

Ugly and beatiful at the same time. Not bad at all!

You made this beautiful and artistic - quite an accomplishment :) The repeating curvers are very nice and so is the graduated coloring of the background. Congratulations on a pic well done!

  4. We lived for years next to a huge City Light/Bonneville power station and the power lines ran behind our property. No humming thank goodness and we all turned out OK.
tha tha tha thaaats's all folks. LOL MB

  5. Isn't there a dam with the same name? I think this photo is fantastic, I would never have thought of posting it!

  6. Hilda: You're not old enough to remember Tower of Power are you? The song "Down to the Nightclub"? Man, that dates me. :(

MB: You mean you haven't noticed any extra appendages or odd growing spurts?

Ciel: Yes there is a Bonneville Dam in Oregon on the Columbia River.

Hans & tapirgal: Thank you much!

Neat photo of a man-made sight everyone's probably glad exists--we couldn't blog without power, could we?

Thanks for the memories of one of mine and my husband's favorite bands. He did not get a chance to see them in person while he was alive. I've been able to do that several times in Jackson (once with my son Lamont), and last summer at an Oregon Zoo summer concert.
