As I mentioned, this past Saturday after work I headed to Capitol Lake to photograph the beautiful fall colors. While I was there I was fortunate enough to catch this guy chillin' on a log, as well as a variety of colorful foliage. Down at the other end of the lake however, there was a miracle a happenin'. A seagull that walks on water. Of course as soon as he saw me he just stood there as if nothing was going on. Show off!
Beautiful colors, what a gorgeous reflection!
ReplyDeleteYes, the water looks painted! The gull adds a nice touch.

The seagull is quite funny. And the reflection is attention-getting. It's hard to know where it starts and stops. Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteAnother avian star! I love the shimmering colours on the lake.
ReplyDeleteI think he's just enjoying himself too much to notice anyone else! Those colors reflected on the water are amazing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like stained glass! Quite incredible. Yes, that silly gull is showing off. They do that.
ReplyDeleteI love the gray dot of gull against that colorful backdrop! Wish I could see the innocent expression on his face.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous. and, of course, miraculous!
ReplyDeleteI love how the fall colors reflect in the water. Looks like that gull owns the place!
ReplyDeleteThanks to all!
ReplyDeleteIn Three Rivers: Thanks, and thanks for stopping by.
lizziviggi: Don't let that innocent look fool you.
Scott: Thank you. You've witnessed this scene a few time I'd bet.
Lost in paradise.
ReplyDeletethis is truly stunning. you should frame this. it looks like a painting and is hard to believe it is a photo.
ReplyDeletecieldequimper: Yes he is.
ReplyDeleteJulie: Thank you very much, I do appreciate the compliment. Quite different from the scenery you are used to.
Gorgeous autumn colors and reflections! Stunning capture!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! that is truly amazing---not the gull but the colors and the colorful reflections. Oh the bird is amazing too but I don't think he really walks on water. haha MB
ReplyDeleteI must agree with Julie, it looks like painting :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat colours are one thing, but the light here is truly beautifull and this "creates" the bird...
Magnificent! The seagull made me smile too!
ReplyDeleteA really fine autumn scene.
