Interstate 5 looking south towards Tumwater Hill (upper center), Tumwater Historical Park & Tumwater Falls Park (left center).
This nighttime shot (handheld) taken from the Capitol Boulevard overpass. Come to think of it I think I'll shoot a daytime shot from the same location for your comparison.

After a record tying 104 degrees today here in Olympia for some odd reason we thought it best to go out for dinner rather than adding to the problem by cooking at home. Before dinner though we decided to take the short drive to
Millersylvania State Park in Tumwater. Not only was it a peaceful drive, but this photo of Deep Lake seemed like the perfect opportunity to capture our contribution to Watery Wednesday.
P.S. My wife double dog dared me on the title. Always stirrin' the pot.

Just south of Olympia, in the city of Tumwater stands this simple little house. As you can probably tell by the signboard in the photo this house is special. Built in 1858 by Nathaniel Crosby III for his wife Cordelia Jane Smith, (Singer Bing Crosby's grandparents.) it is one of the oldest wood frame houses in the state. I think we all agree with Mark. Congratulations to the graduating class of 2009. May at least some of you leave your mark the way this man did. I do hope he takes it easy on the celebrating tonight though. At his age it takes a while to recover.
