Friday, March 5, 2010

The nice days have been sort of hit and miss around here lately. While taking a drive around Capitol Lake the other day this scene caught my eye. I hope everyone has a simply wonderful weekend.

One of the more interesting trees we saw on our walk through Watershed Park recently. This tree was at one time growing off the side of a downed cedar tree. Eventually the cedar rotted leaving this, which is our contribution to The Monochrome Weekly.

Not too far from downtown Olympia is Priest Point Park. A beautiful, well maintained park with wonderful trails to walk, lots of moss covered trees, rhododendron, fern & a variety of flowers. It is also home to a wide variety of fish, birds, squirrels, fox & more. For more info and history of Priest Point Park click here.
