As most know today marks the beginning of another month and a new CDPB theme day. Also many of you know my wife is pregnant and due mid July. This past March 17th, not only was it St Patrick's Day but our anniversary as well. I thought it fitting to give my wife this statue on our anniversary, and what better choice for this month's theme.

Here we are at the start of a new month, which means another CDPB Theme Day. For this month's theme "passageway" we're revisiting a place I've already taken you a couple of times. This is the entry to the Hotel Olympian, a grand old building in downtown Olympia. Not only did I show you the outside
here, we even took you to dinner at The Urban Onion
here, and showed you what they do with you if you complain about the food
here. Besides those things if you look straight ahead at the signs you'll see there's a Christian Science Reading Room downstairs to the right, and there's a small bookstore immediately to the left. Now, if you look upstairs at the far end you'll see several sets of doors. Those doors lead you to a good sized dance floor where they not only hold dances on a regular basis, you can also take lessons up there. I believe my wife is going to take me up there one of these days.

Amongst the CDP bloggers the monthly theme for February is "Wood" and seeing as Washington is the evergreen state what else would I share besides some homegrown timber?

If ever there was a time where picking a photo to post made me sweat bullets this was the time. I'm sure you can see my dilemma. The theme is Best Photo of 2009. Now, looking at the two photos above you tell me, how do you pick between your two girls? Both of these shots were taken this past September at Westport, Washington. This is where my wife and I had taken our honeymoon in March of 2008, but this was the first time the girls had been to there with us. We had an absolutely wonderful day filled with kite flying, running on the beach with our two dogs and when we were done playing we headed over to our favorite restaurant and all had a delicious meal before calling it a day and heading for home. Did I break the rules by posting more than one photo? Maybe, but hey do you blame me?

I'll start off by saying Happy New Year everyone!
When we were trying to decide what to post for this month's Theme Day "Changes" we weren't sure exactly what to post. Looking back through this past year's photos provided the answer we were looking for. What better way to show the changes of 2009 than to share a view through our lens of the four seasons.

Well, here we are again. The start of another month, and the last month of the year. On the first of each month we try to make our post match the monthly CDP theme. December's theme is "waiting." Now, you might remember
this post some time back. It didn't look like much at the time, just a crane and a few forms in place. Well, things have progressed a little since then. This is what the new Olympia City Hall looks like now. Still not completed, but coming along. It looks like it's going to be pretty good sized too. I can't to see what it looks like when it's done, but for now we're still waiting.

Since Halloween and the November CDPB Theme sort of crossed paths I thought it would be fitting to share these gates that mark the entrance of The Masonic Memorial Park in Olympia.

Tonight we decided to go out for dinner. Afterward my wife happened to look over at Albertson's. From what we can tell they've cornered the market on the best produce on the planet. Apples the size of Volkswagens, Oranges with wrinkles you could hide in, lemons that could sour the entire Olympia water system. I'm not even sure they could fit any shoppers inside the store. I thought about going in and buying some but our truck is a short bed so what was I going to do, go buy one apple?
This dose of fruitiness is our contribution to the CDP September Theme - "BIG"
