I would not want to be on the receiving end of that contraption.
It's painful to see that "thing"....
What the.. ??? Might this be an old fashioned hair curling machine? If so... I'm glad that I live in a modern age with modern appliances! (Not to mention very short hair)! Nice capture of the questionable object - good conversation piece!
That is so scary! My hair would have had to just stay straight.
Super find guys! There is a very old, 1920s photo of the now-restored Tampa Theatre that features ladies having their hair done while a Clara Bow movie was being shown. This must be that hairstying "device," right?
No way. I won't put my head there, no way, I'd be too scared of ending up bald!
What the hell is that? Some kind of hair curler? Now, that's got to be old 'cause I've never seen one and I'm ancient! Wait, maybe it's a new way to execute felons? Electric head instead of electric chair?
Well I don't know if it would make the terrorists talk, but it sure did get your grandmothers talking about the weather, their kids and everything under the sun. Great find.
Oh goodness. What the heck is that? It could be an alien too! Oh. I just read the other comments. A curling machine?? Thank goodness my hair's naturally wavy then, because no way will I let that thing near my head! Cool find and cool decor! I like the hotel interior designer's sense of humor.
Alien mind melting device? Iron jellyfish? Probably a mixture of both. Our grandparents lived dangerously!
