Ladies and gentleman, continuing our tour of downtown Olympia and all it's colors our next stop is The Fishbowl Brewpub. Now, I'm going to show you something that should look familiar. When I took this shot I was standing right in front of this building. Coincidence? I think not! There's a reason these two aquatic themed buildings are neighbors. They're one in the same. Click here to check out their website and a little background on one of our areas breweries.

This is most unusual, isn't it? To make the brew and then sell it at the same place makes it in the same category of a bakery. The colors on the building leave a lot to for me to desire but then red and blue never were my favorite colors.

You live in a colorful place. Great shot(s)!

  3. This is my favourite until now! Love the colour combo and the design!

I'm still a bit confused...is one building the brewery and the other a pub?

It would seem they are proud of their product. Can you offer an evaluation of same based upon your experience?

Finally, is it a local product only? I can't say I've run into anything from Fish Brewery in this area...of course, if I do, now I'll have to try it!

Hmm, and aquarium on the street. Great mural!

Love the buildings! I was inspired to post a mural shot today myself!

  7. Jacob: By George I think you've got it!

The building with the octopus is the brewpub. The one across the street is the brewery.

Yolanda: I checked it out briefly from work. I'll be going back to read the whole thing here in a while. Also, thank you for the link on your blog. That was nice. ;-)

Gunn: I didn't even realize how colorful until I started looking around.
