Not Just a Brick in the Wall

Thursday, December 3, 2009

On a recent walk through downtown we spotted this sign. Later, looking at this photo again I started to wonder about all those holes. Are they from previous signs, and if so where did they go? Did someone steal them? If so, I'd like to ask someone how they think the surveillance is working.

Perhaps the security camera is behind the wall!

Very funny! And a nice photo, too. As to working with a view of the river, I have to stand up to see anything. Usually, I just have time to grab my camera and run outside before the interesting vessels are out of sight behind the buildings next to me. I'm not complaining. If I want a better view, I walk one block up or down the River Walk. It's pretty rough. Good thing I like my work enough to keep at it, or it would be impossible.

  3. Yes, what are we surveilling? Is that a word. I hope those aren't bullet holes. What is behind thoe wall? Hey I think you have some detective work to do. MB

thanks for your comments on my blog. Do you catch the sunrise on my day4plus blog? MB

That is like putting a sign up there saying, "I DARE YOU TO STEAL THIS SIGN."

You better not get too inquisitive because there must be some reason for having the property under surveillance. They might start following you around!

Good questions. Oh but wait, you were caught on camera taking this photo.

  7. You know I never thought about the fact that we might have been the ones being watched.

Abe: I think you hit the nail on the head.

Maybe, it is a sophisticated joke. The sole purpose of the sign is to prevent the stealing of the sign.
