Rainbow at the Port

Thursday, December 31, 2009

Greetings everyone! I apologize for disappearing recently. We were out of town for a few days and I caught a major case of the lazy's. I will do my best to get caught up and come visit all your blogs as best I can. I also hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I'm extremely fortunate. The place where I work closes each year between Christmas and New Year's. I don't have to be back to work until January 5th and I have to tell you, this is really relaxing. On the days my wife has had to work I've been able to go pick her up for lunch each day and that has been nice too. After lunch yesterday I drove down to the Port of Olympia. It's a great place to photograph everything from the water to boats to birds and much more. It's hard to tell from this photo but there was a mist falling. Not only did it not seem this clear and blue, but I didn't even see the rainbow until I viewed it on my computer.
Krise and I sincerely want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I know it's going to be an interesting one for us. I hadn't mentioned it on here yet but Krise is pregnant. She's due in mid-July, and we're happy as can be.

I love this shot - the rainbow, and the ...er, um... crane? Totally cool! Even cooler that you found the rainbow later! Beautiful sunny day in the NW. I am having NW withdrawals. I am in Ohio now. I hope to be back soon.

Congrats on the baby! Many wishes for a healthy and happy new year and new member of your family!

Wow! That is a massive crane...like the ones here at the Port of Oakland. They're fun to watch in action. You really captured a beautiful sky too.

Glad you're enjoying the holidays. Sounds like your family is growing! How exciting!

All the best to you in the new year and I look forward to visiting your blog in 2010. Thank you for your comments on mine. Perhaps if I'm up in Anacortes over the summer months, we can arrange a "photo date" in person!!

I missed you! The rainbow must be the little one. And, itsn't it funny how we don't see things till the camera shows them to us? Nice pic, and it's good to hear from you again. Have a great New Year!

Lovely rainbow to end the year with. Very hopeful. I guess the crane is too if it means industry and a good economy.

The lazy's — you are definitely allowed that every now and then. ;)

I'm just glad you're okay. And such wonderful news to begin the new year with (well, for me, at least)! Congratulations to you and Krise! Your daughters must be so excited too. I hope you'll remember us in July amidst all the hoopla, even just to post one photo of your new little darling.

Wishing you and your family a new year filled with joy, peace, good health, prosperity and much, much love.

  10. Happy New Year from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific!
