Since Halloween and the November CDPB Theme sort of crossed paths I thought it would be fitting to share these gates that mark the entrance of The Masonic Memorial Park in Olympia.

It looks both beautiful and eerie with its autumn colors. And Mary Beth's OOooOoooOOOoooOo got me laughing! :D

Nice shot. I smiled with the two comments above mine.

The 18-55mm lens is the only one I have for closeups.

  4. Lois Says:

Very nice choice for Theme Day! It does look a little bit spooky.

  5. Lowell Says:

Very pretty. I'd think they'd keep the gates closed, though. Which reminds me, do you know why they build fences around cemeteries?

    I thought not.

It's because so many people are just dying to get in!

Sorry, that's an old "joke?" my dad used to tell...really old joke!

  6. And on Allsaints too. Funny, I posted a cemetary today, but the doors aren't as grand as yours.

  7. Small City: SpooOOooOOooOOooky isn't it?

Hilda: Thank you Hilda, I know she cracks me up too.

Abe: Yep, we're good for a laugh, if nothing else.

Lois: Thank you. It was sort of meant to.

Jacob: I think our Dads had a similar sense of humor.

cieldequimper: Thank you, but you're probably just being modest. Most of your photos are of places so fancy and ornate it puts my snapshots to shame.

  8. AB Says:

Nicely titled. The autumn twilight gives it just the right atmosphere.
