Watery Wednesday - The Thinker

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

My wife spotted this cute as heck fountain quite some time back, but I just today managed to photograph it. It's sort of tucked in between a couple of buildings in a small courtyard at the Washington State Department of Health. There are three of these handsome fellows hanging around the pool.

  1. Hilda Says:

Shhh… don't tell anyone, but I like it better than Rodin's!

Thank you for making me smile today!

  2. Anonymous Says:

It is a nice pool and does it spray water up?

  3. Paty Says:

it´s very cute indeed! i love the colors in your photo, the blue water and the red bricks.

  4. AB Says:

Thinking of the best way to cook his mushrooms, perhaps

  5. Yolanda Says:

Very cute toad and toadstool! Would love to see water spraying in this fountain!

  6. Lois Says:

That toad has quite a smug expression on his face! What a cute fountain.

  7. Handsome is the word! He looks like the Buddha of the frog world! Crouching frog, hidden tiger.

  8. Anonymous Says:

Oh, isn't he a handsome fella! I hope everyone enlarges the shot to get a better look at him & his webbed feet! Heheheee!

  9. Lol, it's great! From the thumbnail, I thought this was a swimming pool ;-) and was figuring the weather was as gorgeous as last week in Seattle!

  10. Jacob Says:

I heard that someone fell into the pool and when he came out he felt a little woozy and talked funny.

A friend asked him if he had gotten sick from the water.

He said, "No, no, I've just got a frog in my throat!"

Lovely photo of a really cute fountain. Kudos to your wife. You should hire her to be your "official" spotter.

  11. Thanks as usual everybody. I do appreciate it.

    Hilda: You are very welcome.

Abraham: Yes it does. I'll have to keep and eye peeled. Maybe I can catch another shot when its' on.

Rob and Mandy: What a movie that would make.

cieldequimper: Glad you got the chance to experience some good weather while you were in the area.

Jacob: She already is my official spotter. She actually points me toward many of the shots you see here.

  12. Very neat fountain. Three of them you say. Yes get a picture when the water is flowing.

Gray is gray no matter what shade. LOL MB

I love it when cities (or states) have a sense of humor. Nice shot of a nice frog. I'm intrigued by the one in the background, too.
