Hidden Zoo?

Downtown Olympia is a pretty interesting place. Modern buildings right next door to historic old ones. Office buildings next to tattoo parlors. It is a diverse place to say the least. While out photographing various places last night I spotted this colorful alley. It's not the only one like this in the downtown area either.  The more well known one is the Free Wall at the Capitol Theater. Check out this Flickr group. Tomorrow I'll show you what's right across the street from this alley.

I love that word, diverse. And I adore this alley--thanks for the photo!

  2. Cool wall art. Great shot. Now I am curious as to what I will see tomorrow. MB

How interesting! That's a great way to spruce up an alley, but I'd still be afraid to walk through there at night.

Very cool! My kind of place to shoot. DO show more.

  6. You know I never worry when we're walking in our downtown area. It's definitely the place to go if you like to people watch, but I'm never nervous.

Frank: I knew you'd like this one.

    Chuck: Thank you. ;)

  7. That's nice wall art. Colourful and fun!

Alleys seem to be usually dark, dirty, dingy and dangerous.

    This is something quite other.

    I like it.

    Nice shot!

You are having a birthday, Chuck says. Hum. Happy Birthday.

I don't have things like your decorated alley here. We have alleys. The most decorative thing in any of them would be after Christmas when a lot of people toss out their Christmas trees and some decorations.

I am still making history on my Pick a Peck of Pixels blog. Today I posted a House Wren. Pick a Peck of Pixels

I like it. I would be clicking away if I saw this alley.
