Amongst the CDP bloggers the monthly theme for February is "Wood" and seeing as Washington is the evergreen state what else would I share besides some homegrown timber?

Perfect for the theme. I posted some mossy green 'wood' too. MB
I've seen a lot of ferns growing out of trunks, but this is one of the most fantastic. You made a great find! Nice photo, too.
such a beautiful green image with the strong tree. very inviting photo for theme day. i would love to step into this photo
I love all the moss and ferns growing on the trunk!
Oh how I miss my evergreens! Love the moss and ferns, and the perspective is great- takes me right up to the tops of those trees!
Well, I "wood" expect you'd share "some homegrown timber"...
Lovely and very colorful and very "woodsy" shot!
Re: your question on Cedar Key DP - I used my ninja skills!
You really do have some lush growth in this photograph. I suppose the climate and location has everything to do with it. It is a look back at our forest primeval I guess. i wish we could all go back in time and walk across America to see what it was really like before there were roads and we either followed streams or animal trails.
It looks a bit like the photos I've seen of the Olympic Peninsula, kind of "northern tropical". Very nice shot!
It all looks very wild and overgrown
Good sshare
