Scenic Sunday - Centralia City Light

Sunday, October 18, 2009

I believe this is the first post that I've had trouble fitting the whole name into the title space provided. You are looking at The Centralia City Light Hydroelectric Power Plant in Yelm, Washington. This is the point where the water spills over the hillside through the twin tubes at the far right of the photo and heads down to the powerhouse and the Nisqually River. Besides being an interesting place to go watch some awesome hydro power, I thought it would surely qualify for Scenic Sunday.

This is a nice view of the entire scene and it is probably much larger than it looks here.

Yes it is quite scenic! I enlarged it so I could see the details. Those golden trees are beautiful.

  7. Hmmmm... I know they are necessary but it does spoil the scenery. A bit. The trees are so beautiful!

Our trees have been doing the same thing. I've been waiting for a little sun to show the colors :) Maybe later today. . . .

it certainly looks scenic to me! i love the trees and hills... it's so flat around here! =)

  11. I know, it's one of those necessary evils. The rest of the scenery around there is so nice I don't let the buildings ruin it.

Thanks as usual. I hope everyone had a great weekend.
