We have had a run of unusually warm dry weather. In the 80's today and approaching 90 Friday and Saturday. With the 4th of July and fireworks coming the risk of fire is a definite concern. Here's hoping everyone has a great 4th, and if a stray bottle rocket comes at you.........DUCK!
Uh . . . funny about the DUCK! Isn't it amazing how fast our green, green grassy areas have turned brown after a few sunny days? You're right about the hazards of the Fourth. Around here, the City sometimes shoots fireworks from a boat, but they say that's dangerous for other reasons. Of course, they sell firecrackers from a tent outside Safeway. You KNOW everyone using them is neither brilliant, nor sober. I wish everyone a safe Fourth. I love the City displays. I'm sure there will be a good one somewhere.
This is our first blog, a daily (whenever possible) photo blog of our state capitol and surrounding area. Most photos were taken by me, however my wife will sneak one in from time to time.
I'll be sure to do that! What a cute little guy. It's hot here too, but also very humid--typical north Florida summertime!

I hope the cute duck survives the pyrotechnics
Very cool capture! :-)
